ARMING/DISARMING

ARMING IN STAY MODE

Press and Hold the Stay key for 2 seconds or enter the Access Code and do not leave the premises.

ARMING IN AWAY MODE

Press and Hold the Away key for 2 seconds or enter the Access Code or hit * 0

DISARMING

Enter your Access Code to disarm anytime the system is armed.

Arming/DISARMING ERROR

If your code is invalid, the system will not arm/disarm and a 2 second error tone will sound. If this happens enter the Access Code again.

BYPASSING

With the system disarmed.

1.Press * 1

2.Enter the 2-digit Zone Number(s) of the zone(s) to be bypassed (01-32).

3.To unbypass a zone, enter the 2-digit Zone Number(s) of the zone(s) to be unbypassed.

The system will announce which zones are bypassed.

4.To exit bypassing mode and return to the Ready state, press #.

Helpful Tip

Bypassed zones are automatically canceled each time the system is disarmed and must be bypassed again, if required, before the next arming.

DOOR CHIME

To turn door chime on or off press and hold the CHIME key for 2 seconds, or press * 4.

MEMORY LIGHT

If an alarm ocurred while the system was armed the NT9010 will announce that there are alarms in memory. To cancel the alarm memory announcement, press the # key. After the announcement is over the system will return to the Ready state, but they yellow 'System' light will remain on. To listen to alarms in memory again, press * 3. To clear the alarm memory, arm and disarm the system.

RESETTING SMOKE DETECTORS

If the smoke alarm is false, press the # key within 30 seconds to silence alarm. If more than 30 seconds after the alarm initiated, enter your Access Code to silence the alarm.

If the smoke alarm is due to the presence of smoke, the alarm will not reset until the smoke has cleared.

TROUBLE CODES

 

To listen to announcement of system troubles, press *2. The system will announce the problem with the following message(s):

"Service is required, press [1]."

When the system announces this message, one or more of the following troubles may then be announced.

"Low Battery"

"Remote Bell Trouble"

"Bad Module Placement"

"System Fault"

"AC Power Trouble."

The NT9010 may go to sleep to conserve the backup battery if the AC power is out for more than 30 seconds. If this happens, you can "wake up" the unit by pressing and holding * for 2 seconds.

"Phone line trouble."

"Communication trouble."

"Zone Fault, press [5]."

Press 5, and the system will announce which devices have a fault.

"Zone tamper, press [6]."

Press 6, and the system will announce which devices have a tamper.

"Device low battery, press [7]."

Press 7, and the system will announce which devices have a low battery.

"The time and date are incorrect."

 

Press the # key to exit the trouble display.

Time & Date Programming

1.Press * 6 plus your Master Access Code plus 1.

2.The system will announce the current time and date.

3.To change the time, press 1, then enter the time in 24-hr. format (HH:MM).

4.To change the date, press 2, then enter the date in (MM/DD/YY) format.

5.Press # to exit programming.

PROGRAMMING ACCESS CODES

It is highly recommended that all requests for assistance with access codes be referred to the dealer!

ADDING OR CHANGING CODES

1.Press * 5 plus the (Master Access Code)

2.Enter the 2-digit user number to be programmed (01-32 for standard user codes; enter 40 for the Master Access Code).

3.Enter the new 4-digit Access Code

4.press # to exit.

Proceed With Caution

Take special care when changing the Master Code. Errors changing the Master Code will likely require a service call from a technician to correct.The Master Code can not be deleted.

ERASING A CODE

To Erase a code, select the code and enter * as the first digit. If * is entered, the system will immediately delete the code and the user will be returned to select another code.
