Panel Dump

Previous pageReturn to chapter overviewNext page

A System will dump its buffer when a signal is sent out, after there has been an interruption in the phone service (or any other reason that it could not communicate). Signals that are unable to be sent will be stored in the buffer, until communication is restored. Any signals that were in the buffer will all get sent out at the same time, and not necessarily in the right order.

A lot of times we will get a whole bunch of high priority alarms when this happens, and sadly they must be acted on. Most Sr. operators will try to get a hold of the dealer first, although if they are unsuccessful, the call list must be followed.
