ARMING/DISARMING

ARMING IN STAY MODE

Press and Hold the Stay key for 2 seconds or enter the Access Code and Do Not leave the premises.

ARMING IN AWAY MODE

Press and Hold the Away key for 2 seconds or enter the Access Code or hit * 0 and leave through en exit door.

DISARMING

Enter your Access Code to disarm anytime the system is armed.

DISARMING ERROR

If your code is invalid, the system will not disarm and a 2 second error tone will sound. If this happens hit # key, and try again.

BYPASSING

With the system disarmed.

1.Press * to enter the function menu. The keypad may display "Press * or < > Zone Bypass".

2.Press 1 then your Access Code (if required). The keypad may display "Scroll to < > Bypass Zones".

3.Enter the 2-digit Zone Number(s) of the zones to be bypassed (01-08).

When using the PC5500 keypad, you can also use the < > Scroll keys to find the zone to be bypassed, and then press * to bypass the zone. The keypad will display a "B" to indicate zone is bypassed

4.To unbypass a zone, enter the 2-digit Zone Number(s) of the zones to be unbypassed.

When using the PC5500 keypad, you can also use the < > Scroll keys to find the zone, and then press * to unbypass the selected zone. The "B" will disappear from the display.

5.To exit bypassing mode and return to the Ready state, press #.

Helpful Tip

Bypassed zones are automatically canceled each time the system is disarmed and must be bypassed again, if required, before the next arming.

DOOR CHIME

To turn door chime on or off press and hold the CHIME key for 2 seconds, or press * 4.

MEMORY LIGHT

The 'Memory' or 'System' lights illuminate to indicate that an alarm has occurred

1.Press * 3 to view which sensor(s) generated the alarm.

2.The 'Zone' light(s) will flash.

3.Press # to exit

4.To clear the alarm memory, arm and disarm the system.

resetting smoke detectors

Feature must be enabled by dealer

Press and hold the Reset button for 2 seconds, or press * 72 on the keypad.

TROUBLE CODES

1.Press * 2 to enter trouble display.

2.The keypad will display a number from 1 to 8 to indicate the particular trouble, as follows:

1. Service Required

Press 1, and see Below

2. AC Power Fail

3. Telephone Line Trouble

4. Failure to Communicate

5. Zone Fault

Press 5 to view faulted zone number

6.Zone Tamper

Press 6 to view tampered zone number

7.Device Low Battery

To determine which device has a low battery: Press 7 again to view zone(s) with low battery, press 7 again to view hand held keypad(s) with low battery, press 7 again to view wireless key fob(s) with low battery)

8.Loss of Time

 

Note: A display of 1 refers to a branch of 5 further trouble codes. If pressing *2 Shows 1, press the 1 key and it may then show these trouble code(s). Any that are currently affecting the system will be illuminated.

 

1.Low Battery

2.Bell Circuit Trouble

3.General System Trouble

4.General System Tamper

5.General System Supervisory

 

If using the PC5500 keypad, you can use the < > Scroll keys to scroll  through a list of trouble conditions

3. Press # to exit trouble display. The 'Trouble' light will stay on until the trouble is resolved.

Time & Date Programming

1.Press * 6 plus your Master Access Code to enter User Functions.

2.Press 1 to select Time & Date.

When using the PC5500 keypad,use the < > Scroll keys to find the menu option then press * to select it.

3.Enter the time in 24-hr. format (HH:MM), followed by the date (MM:DD:YY).

4.Press # to exit programming.

PROGRAMMING ACCESS CODES

It is highly recommended that all requests for assistance with access codes be referred to the dealer!

ADDING OR CHANGING CODES

1.Press * 5 plus the (Master Access Code)

2.Enter the 2-digit user number to be programmed (i.e. 01-32 for standard user code; enter 40 for the Master Access Code).

When using the PC5500 keypad, you can use the < > Scroll keys to find the specific code and then press the * key to select.

3.Enter the new 4-digit Access Code

4.Enter another 2-digit user number to program, or press # to exit.

Proceed With Caution

Take special care when changing the Master Code. Errors changing the Master Code will likely require a service call from a technician to correct.The Master Code can not be deleted.

ERASING A CODE

To Erase a code, select the code and enter * as the first digit. If * is entered, the system will immediately delete the code and the user will be returned to select another code.
