Ademco (Honeywell) alarm systems are popular in the industry and are used in residential and commercial applications. There are a few main classes of Ademco alarm panels:

 

4100 series / early Vista series

This was Ademco's original lineup of panels. They were suitable for both residential and commercial applications. They were installed into the early 2000s. This series of panels could support up to 63 zones and 99 user codes, depending on the model.

Main Vista Series

This is Ademco's current line of hybrid panels (wired panel with optional addition of wireless sensors). This line of panels is quite expansive, including basic systems with six zones and 16 user codes (ideal for residential applications), all the way up to large commercial systems which can accommodate hundreds of zones and user codes, and which can incorporate CCTV and access control functions.

The Vista panels also support the use of an optional Touchscreen , which offers end users clear and intuitive interaction with their alarm systems.

Lynx Series

The Lynx series is Ademco's current line of All-In-One systems, which are a combination of control panel, keypad, siren, dialer, and two-way voice system, and which use wireless alarm sensors. This line includes basic models which utilize a standard button-style keypad, as well as models which incorporate a touchscreen and include options for wireless communications, and home automation controls.
