GE Security panels are very common in the industry. As GE has taken over manufacturing of various alarm systems over the years, the alarm system in the customer's home may be branded differently, but the functionality remains the same.

ADVENT

One early model of GE alarm systems is the Advent. This panel was originally manufactured by ITI, so the panel will likely be branded with the ITI logo. This system was used for residential security, but was unique in that it offered options for Automatic Lighting Control, which allowed indoor or outdoor lighting to be controlled via the touchpad, as well as Automatic Appliance Control, which could be used to turn appliances on and off at scheduled times.

CONCORD

The Concord is another early model GE alarm system. It was also originally manufactured by ITI, so may be branded with either the ITI or GE logos. The Concord was used primarily for residential security. It had several unique features, such as the ability to use your touchtone phone as a keypad, voice prompts, and the ability to monitor and control the temperature in your home. The Concord was one of the earliest panel to have options for monitoring over cellular and internet pathways.

Allegro

The Allegro system was used primarily for residential security. It was also originally manufactured by ITI, so may be branded with either the ITI or GE logos It is a self-contained unit (control panel with built in touchpad). It uses wireless sensors exclusively, and is preferred by many for it's small form factor. A unique aspect of the Allegro system is that it uses a wireless dialer module, which is very useful in installations where wiring a phone line to the panel is infeasible or not cost-effective.

NetworX

The NetworX series of panels are commonly used in residential and commercial applications. They were originally manufactured by Caddx, so may be branded with either the Caddx or GE logos. They range from small systems with few zones and users, to larger systems with many zones and many users. They have options to be partitioned, are a hybrid panel, meaning they use both hard wired and wireless sensors. The NetworX lineup includes the NX-4 , NX-6, and NX-8 series of panels.

SIMON

The Simon series of panels is one of GE's main line of systems. Early Simon models were manufactured by ITI so the systems may be branded with either the ITI or GE logos. They are a self-contained unit (control panel with built in touchpad). They use wireless sensors exclusively. They are suitable for wall mounting or can be placed on a desktop. The have features such a voice prompts, the ability to control your system with your touchtone telephone, and the ability to have the system advise you if your children have not arrived home by a specified time. The Simon lineup includes the original Simon, the Simon 3, and the Simon XT systems.

ZeroWire

GE's newest panel is the ZeroWire. ZeroWire is ideally suited for residential applications. It can accommodate up to 64 zones, and 256 user codes. It has an integrated wi-fi module for wireless communication to the monitoring station over IP as well as an optional cellular radio for back up communication. ZeroWire supports Z-Wave device control, used for home automation, including light switches, lamp modules and locks. It also has integrated support for IP cameras, including viewing live video and replaying captured alarm or action-triggered video events. In addition to the basic LED keypad, ZeroWire can also be control via Smartphone or Tablet.
